Defense Contract Audit Agency Solution
The US-based Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) is responsible for monitoring large-scale defense contracts commissioned by the US Military. These projects can be huge in size, often measured in the billions of dollars. The DCAA has indicated that one of the most fundamental audits it conducts is on the labor spending on such projects. They are one of the few government agencies of any kind that has an interest in timesheet management and their interest is intense.
|
The DCAA does not endorse specific software or make recommendations on any particular software vendor. They do, however, lay out some very strict rules on what type of system meets their audit criteria.
TimeControl meets the stringent DCAA standards and TimeControl has been implemented a number of times to conform with DCAA criteria.
Among other requirements, TimeControl includes the ability to track every timesheet with complete auditability. We can determine who made the original entry, and who approved the timesheet at each level. TimeControl also supports the DCAA requirement that says that only the source person can enter or change the timesheet. If you need to deploy a DCAA compliant timesheet system, TimeControl is the ideal choice .
With its remarkable flexibility, TimeControl can not only achieve DCAA compliance, it can also act as your primary labor actuals system, collecting timesheets for the HR, Payroll and Project Management systems.
Once timesheet data has been collected, it can be reported on or transferred directly to both the finance systems required and the project management system. This type of integration allows for project reports made to the government to match government invoicing to the penny and that the audit trail between the Finance System always matches.
