The US Defense Contract Audit Agency () is responsible to ensure that contracts that fall within its jurisdiction are properly accounted for.

US-based agencies including Homeland Security, the Department of Energy (DOE) the Department of Transport (DOT) and others.
These standards can also be imposed on sub-contractors to those who must comply with DCAA standards even when those sub-contractors are outside of the US.
