Microsoft names HMS software a gold certified partner
HMS renews its relationship at the elite level of Microsoft Partner Program for 4th consecutive year
Montreal April 4, 2008 - HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has renewed its partnership with Microsoft Corporation at the "Gold Certified Partner" level . This partner level is reserved for companies who have demonstrated that they have proven expertise in multiple Microsoft technical disciplines.
"As a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions our relationship with Microsoft continues to expand," says Julie Benard of HMS's Marketing Department. "This is our 4th year at the Gold certified level. HMS Software's relationship with Microsoft stretches back to 1995 when TimeControl was first linked to Microsoft Project so this relationship is an extensive one. In recent years however, the two companies have worked together even more closely. Our President, Chris Vandersluis sits on Microsoft's Enterprise Project Management Partner Advisory Council, our technical staff do more and more work directly with Microsoft staff and we have ongoing joint marketing efforts."
Only a small fraction of Microsoft's tens of thousands of partners are ever elevated to Gold Certified status.
As part of the Microsoft Gold Certification Process, HMS was also awarded three of Microsoft's technical competencies for the 2008/2009 season: Information Worker with a specialization in Enterprise Project Management solutions, Independent Software Vendor for HMS Software's work on the TimeControl timesheet and Network Infrastructure Solutions.
For the ISV competency, HMS put its TimeControl product through independent testing by Veritest to ensure it was certified to work properly with Windows Server and Client operating system. For the Information Worker Competency and the Enterprise Project Management specialization, HMS had to demonstrate delivery of its enterprise project management and enterprise timesheet systems working with Microsoft Project and for the Network Infrastructure Solutions, HMS had to demonstrate it had references and proficiency with Windows Server.
A major component of the various competency certifications is independent verification by HMS Software client references. "In renewing our Microsoft Gold Certification, we had many different client references independently verified," says Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS Software. "We very much appreciate our client's involvement in this certification process. Our clients, Microsoft and the HMS team worked together in partnership to make sure HMS was able to achieve this elite status".
HMS Software has multiple solutions listed by Microsoft in the enterprise project management and timesheet software industries including TimeControl, HMS's enterprise timesheet system and Microsoft Project and Project Server Services.
