Integrating TimeControl and Deltek's Open Plan and Cobra

TimeControl's history with Deltek's Open Plan Enterprise Project Management system dates back to the first days of our company. HMS represented Open Plan in Canada through the 80's and 90's and deployed many custom timesheet solutions for clients over those years that would be integrated to both Open Plan and Cobra, Deltek's Earned Value Management System.

The Deltek Enterprise Project Management products include both a powerful scheduling and resource management system within Open Plan™ and a powerful Earned Value Management System for costs within Cobra™. HMS Software has a long history with both of these products. HMS is a Deltek ISV (Independent Software Vendor) partner.

TimeControl is an enterprise timesheet system published by HMS Software which is designed to integrate with both scheduling systems such as Open Plan or Microsoft Project, Costing systems such as Cobra and corporate financial and control systems including most ERPs such as SAP, PeopleSoft and, Oracle Financials. TimeControl was first released in 1994.

TimeControl's enterprise timesheet functionality combined with its ability to link to enterprise project management tools like Open Plan and Earned Value tools like Cobra make it a powerful aspect of a project management environment. Now, a single timesheet can collect labor costs for Financial purposes like job costing and invoicing, HR purposes like payroll, flex time and banked time tracking, project tracking, earned value actual costs and government compliance requirements such as DCAA and Sabanes Oxley.
