In rare cases when clients have started in a certain version and upgrad to version 5.1.5 or later, they may have the upgrade terminate with the following error in the log (found in /updates):
"The following error occured while upgrading the dat files: SQL statement ( INSERT INTO TCDIC (DIC_TAG, DIC_TABLE, DIC_FIELD, DIC_DESC, DIC_LABEL, DIC_MAXLEN, DIC_DTYPE, DIC_TYPE, DIC_HIDE, DIC_POPFLD, DIC_LISTS, DIC_DFAULT, DIC_NULL, DIC_LEN, DIC_WEDATE, DIC_SUM) VALUES (....)) failed to execute with the following message: Cannot insert duplicate key row in object dbo.TCDIC with unique index DIC_DESC.
In this case, an old constraint on the Data Dictionary Description which insisted that the data field descriptions be unique is in the database. We removed this constraint from the database in an early version of TimeControl 5.0 but for some people who upgraded from one version to another it is possible that this constraint still exists.
