TimeControl grows 400% in 1997!
MONTREAL - April 1, 1998 - HMS Software announced sales results for its 1997 fiscal year. With the launch of TimeControl 3, the client/server version of HMS Software’s popular project-oriented timesheet system, HMS showed a strong 4th quarter to drive up 1997 TimeControl revenues by 395% over the same period in 1996.
"We’re thrilled with the results," says Chris Vandersluis, President of Montreal-based HMS. "TimeControl has blown away all our previous projections. In 2 years, it has managed to outpace every other revenue source in the company."
TimeControl is proving a popular choice among large and medium-sized firms all over the world.
New TimeControl clients this year include:
Informix
NB Telephone
Anderson Consulting
Unisys
British Airport Authority
IBM
Delco
Dow Jones Telerate
"We think two main factors are affecting sales," says Vandersluis. "First, the year-2000 problem is forcing organisations to re-evaluate their current core systems including timesheets and, faced with the prospect of re-writing them or choosing an enterprise-wide system 'off the shelf', they’re electing to go with TimeControl. Second, more and more firms are re-orienting their management methodology to embrace a ‘management-by-project’ or ‘activity-based-costing’ model. Both of these are having a profound effect on our market."
TimeControl growth was further fueled by a range of new channel agreements. HMS now has full-service distributors in: Australia, Finland, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the US.
Early figures for 1998 show the pace of growth for TimeControl increasing with sales to such organisations as the Credit-Suisse/First Boston Bank and Rothmans Benson & Hedges leading the way.
