HMS Software joins Primavera Technology Partner program

HMS extends its partnership with Primavera for the 9th straight year

Montreal June 2, 2006 - HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has joined the Primavera Technology Partner program. This program has been recently revamped by Primavera and provides an opportunity for leading suppliers of Primavera-based solutions to showcase their products and services through Primavera.

"While the Primavera Technology Partner program is completely new, it is not the beginning of our relationship with Primavera," said Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS. "We have been a technology partner with Primavera since 1997 and our relationship with the company stretches back to the early 80's."

HMS Software has joined the program based on the integration of its TimeControl timesheet software which has pre-configured links to move data to and from Primavera's project management products. For those clients who require more financially oriented timesheets or timesheets which are well suited for both payroll and project updating purposes, the TimeControl timesheet can be deployed in an enterprise-wide environment.

The bi-directional link between TimeControl and Primavera allows for project, task and resource information to be moved from Primavera and actual hours, costs and task progress to move from TimeControl back to Primavera.

TimeControl's additional functionality makes the product an attractive add-on when an organization wishes to implement both Primavera and to use the timesheet data to update both Primavera and financial systems such as Payroll, Billing, Human Resources or Job Costing. TimeControl is able to link to virtually any financial system including SAP, Oracle, Timberline and Microsoft's Dynamics group of finance packages including Great Plains and Solomon.

"We've been in the timesheet business since 1984," says Vandersluis. "In that time, we've seen many organizations that need a timesheet which will serve multiple purposes. TimeControl was designed to handle the needs of both Project Management and Finance at the same time.

One of the big challenges in a multi-purpose timesheet is the whole area of approvals. TimeControl deals with this through its unique Matrix Approval Process for Labor Actuals™. This process allows both departmental supervisors to approve hours and costs with an unlimited number of approval levels and for project managers to be able to verify and if required, redistribute accepted hours before they are transferred back to Primavera.
