Microsoft names HMS Software Gold Certified Partner
Montreal, May 5, 2010 - HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has been named a "Gold Certified Partner" by Microsoft Corporation for the 6th year. This partner level is reserved for companies who have demonstrated that they have proven expertise in multiple Microsoft technical disciplines. Only a small fraction of the thousands of Microsoft partners are included in the elite Gold Certified level.
"HMS Software's relationship with Microsoft stretches back to 1995 when TimeControl was first linked to Microsoft Project," says Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS Software. "TimeControl has been through many changes in those 14 years, but the link to Microsoft Project has always remained an integral part of the system."
As part of the Microsoft Gold Certification Process, HMS was also awarded three Microsoft competencies including the Information Worker (IW) competency with the specialization in Enterprise Project Management (EPM), the Network Infrastructure Solutions competency based on the work we do deploying both TimeControl and Project Server and the Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV) competency thanks to our work integrating our TimeControl timesheet with Microsoft Project.
For the ISV competency, our TimeControl timesheet system successfully passed the Windows 7 logo tests by Windows Quality Online Services (Winqual). As a result, HMS Software's partnership with Microsoft as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) has been extended through 2014. For the Information Worker Competency and the Enterprise Project Management specialization, we had to demonstrate delivery of its enterprise project management and enterprise timesheet systems working with Microsoft Project and for the Network Infrastructure Solutions, we had to provide it had references and proficiency with Windows Server.
TimeControl has been on the market since 1984 and is in use in approximately 300 companies with over 100,000 users worldwide.
"Our partnership and ongoing projects with Microsoft personnel in Canada, the US and Europe as well as with people at Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond, Washington continues to expand," explains Vandersluis. "This year we have extended our work with Microsoft through TimeControl and it's link to both Project Server 2010 and Project desktop (meaning Project Standard and Project Professional) 2010."
