The technical alliance between Oracle and HMS Software has been renewed for a 28th consecutive year

Montreal – May 14, 2025 – HMS Software, publishers of TimeControl, the industry’s most popular multi-function timesheet system have announced they today that Oracle has confirmed HMS Software’s membership in its Oracle Partner Network for a twenty-eighth consecutive year.
“In 1997 HMS Software established a partnering relationship with Oracle Corporation in order to better support TimeControl’s use of the Oracle database,” explains Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS Software. “The partnership would evolve for the support of multiple Oracle products. That same year, HMS also created a technical alliance partnership with Primavera, publishers of one of the most powerful project management software systems. In 2008 Oracle would purchase Primavera and the HMS relationship with Oracle would deepen considerably.”
Both HMS and Oracle have invested considerable effort over the years to ensure their mutual clients receive the best integration support in the industry. All editions of the TimeControl system integrate with a wide range of Oracle products including Primavera EPPM, Primavera Pro, Oracle NetSuite, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and supports the Oracle architecture including the Oracle and MySQL databases.
“Being part of the Oracle Partner Network program enables our technical teams to work directly with Oracle personnel on the design, maintenance and development of TimeControl and to support our mutual clients,” explains Stephen Eyton-Jones, Director of Technical Services at HMS Software. “This alliance provides HMS with early access to Oracle technology and expertise in order to support Oracle products when they are released.”
“Maintaining our technology stack to the most advanced releases is a constant effort,” explains Eyton-Jones. “As we are working on our own new features, we also have to dedicate attention to integration with Oracle applications and support of Oracle databases. As part of this alliance, we are able to work directly with Oracle in the database layer, the application layer and even the integration/API layer to ensure that the clients are taken care of.”
Some of TimeControl's value-added benefits when integrated with Oracle-Primavera include: unlimited rates per employee, automated business rule validations, automated workflow, missing timesheet notification, expense and non-labor cost tracking, simultaneous support for multiple versions of Oracle Primavera, and matrix timesheet approvals with HMS's unique Matrix Approval Process for Labor Actuals™. This process allows project managers to be able to approve hours task-by-task and departmental supervisors to approve hours and costs with an unlimited number of approval levels.
TimeControl includes the free TimeControl Mobile App for Android and iOS devices.
TimeControl's Industrial version also includes crew timesheets and field-data-collection capabilities to update Primavera and Finance with material consumption, equipment usage and even production-accomplished information. This information provides Primavera with both labor and non-labor costs to the project management system and both labor and non-labor cost information to Finance.
"We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Oracle for the 2025-2026 season,” says Vandersluis. “This is one of the longest lasting technical relationships in the IT industry and we invest it together with Oracle because the real beneficiaries are our shared clients."
The TimeControl suite includes TimeControl on-premise, TimeControl Industrial on-premise, TimeControl Online in the Cloud, TimeControl Industrial Online in the Cloud and TimeControl Project. In-the-cloud products are offered as a subscription service. On-premise product licenses are offered for purchase for an on-premise deployment.
